Summit’s Trial Program for 2025 has well been established, with the team moving into post-emergent top ups and soon to move into plant counts and testing across the state.

The team is utilising a custom built seeder equipped with 9 DBS tines, two small plot cones, electronically driven bulk seed and bulk fertilizer boxes, as well as a top dress bar and liquid injection system.

The seeder setup gives us complete flexibility to apply products in a wide range of rates, placements and timings. The liquid system is computer controlled and delivers precise rates of UAN or other liquid products such as wetter, either with or below the seed or behind the press wheel on top of the furrow, towed by a 2024 V8 79 series Toyota Land Cruiser.

Our seeding program has recently wrapped up with the establishment of 2 Pasture trials. The team has moved onto spraying, utilising our 12m wide ute mounted sprayer, with a 400L product tank and 70L rinse tank, as well as a hand-held sprayer as seen below. It is fully equipped with a mixing bowl for batching chemicals and 24 TeeJet nozzles, with the ability to stream UAN out over non nitrogen trials with this machine.
